My New Tumblr Dashboard LUVIT!

My New Tumblr Dashboard LUVIT!

VS.

I found a great money saver for our decorations for the Club House… You have no idea how much money we will be saving because of this :D

I wanted to decorate the hall at first with just balloons but since my family is taking this Civil a little serious than I expected I decided to change my mind since Balloons can look a little cheap… I have always loved the look of paper lanterns so I decided why not… Dan and I went to Chinatown to compare prices and even went to Ikea and the price ranged from $1.25 (smallest) to $10.00+ (Largest) and multiply that by a lot -.-’ we would have been spending a couple hundred bucks… Dan said it was okay but since this is not our only wedding I HAD TO FIND ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE!! So I did some research and found this amazing money saver!! I knew there was something like this out there -I lived in the Philippines and I always saw these tissue paper decorations and vwala I found it on google- So simple to make and they look just as beautiful :D. They are simply made from that tissue paper that u put on top of a gift bag so no one can peak in them… yeah and each PomPom’s has 12 tissue papers. When u buy this at the dollar store of course for one pack it costs from $1.00 - $1.25 sometimes they even ave a deal where you can grab 2 for a $1 and in each pack there can be 30 papers to 50… and when you do the math… each lanterns cost less than .50 Cents each and that is including the string!!! ISN’T THAT AMAZING!

I already tried to make a couple and it looks gorgeous we had some spare tissue paper laying around and it was easy as 1.2.3. for one pack of 30 tissue (that caused $1.00) I made 4 x 20” Pom Poms and 2 x 12” Pom Poms… all for under a $1.25 (this includes the string) If I had baught the paper lanterns the cost would have been around… $50 at the cheapest!!! Not including HST! Yeah so I am so excited and this weekend we will be preparing them Yaaaay!! hehehe

It takes less than 1min - 3mins to make one depending on the size.

All you need is:

  • Scissors
  • Lace or Rope
  • Tissue Paper
  • and some creativity

That’s it :D Cool huh!!

We have been so busy making sure everything will be ready for our Civil Ceremony… We are both very, extremely excited!!! Ahh…

Yesterday we went to a store looking for our attire for the Ceremony but we don’t wanna be to fancy because we want to save that for our Catholic Ceremony :D. I think I found something but i’m not sure yet so my eyes are still open… Dan tried a couple of outfits as well and he looked handsome :D He wont have a problem…

Last week we were able to do a lot. We got a great discount at this amazing hotel near our place (so exciting) The Signature Sandman Hotel/Ressort  My family & close friends from out of town will be staying here :) and we also booked a room for one night… They have a swimming pool, slide, all that good stuff :D

We also where able to save a lot for our Catering because the lady who gave us a quote emailed us the wrong price and since it was her mistake she gave it to us :D yaay!! .. so all in all things are going well…

I just have to remember to book for a limo this week :D Yaaaay!!

(via brrrrnice)

Yaaay! we got our wedding bands!!! All paid sized and ready to Go Go Go!!! We went last Monday to pick-out Dan’s wedding band since mine already had a matching band (which I have been eyeing for a very long time) and not even a week has gone by they where ready… We didn’t know that the sales lady put it through rush order for us and the customer service was amazing!! We really do love this store!!

When Dan proposed to me I was only working a full-time $11 (-Taxes) job and he just started his Job straight out of College. So we basically could only afford my current engagement ring… we maid a deal and since this jewellery store offers this we decided to take advantage of the offer. I will be upgrading my engagement ring, after our Civil so that it self is exciting as well!!!

Our rings include life-time care. Free cleaning, sizing, fixing (replacing lost diamonds) …etc Yay! Also since Dan and I don’t have a credit card yet we were able to save up and pay both in full :D

roughdraftwedding:

we’re going to have a lot of children at our wedding, and we want them to be as equally entertained as the adults, so i was very thankful that i came across this free, downloadable children’s coloring book from lovely indeed! it’s so easy to put together, and can all be done from your home printer! love it.

Heading to my parents this weekend. This will be my last time heading over there as an Egan OMG!!!

It still has not fully hit me yet though but bit by bit. Dan and I keep telling each other “this is the last chance, no more backing out” ahahaha as a joke of course.

We’ve been living together for 4 years 1 month and 20 days (and counting) I’m pretty sure there are no hidden secret-habits we don’t know about lol… We think ahaha… but we are in it together for the long haul and ready than ever. We always have after we had our long talk before moving in together :D. We knew this day would come and have been talking about it for a long time.

To think about it this is going to be just the begging once we find the right Church, and the right Priest, we will be able to finally plan for our big Catholic Ceremony :D yaaay!!

Civil?? :D

Daniel Christopher Salcedo & Sheriel Damisa Egan <3 are tying the knot!!

Engaged: August 29th, 2010

*They Met on June 09, 2007.
He said it was love at first sight.
She said it was one of the best days of her life.
Then they met again the next weekend.
He convinced her to head back to Vancouver from Victoria (a 1hr & 30min ferry ride).
And that is how their love story began...

These are ideas we find on tumblr and other sites an insperation, a food for our imaginations that we can use on our Journey, to our Civil 11.11.11. and to the alter Soon To Be Anounced ...
